Update (Nov 19, 2020)
The elders and ministry staff at Lakeshore have continued to meet (virtually) and to pray together about how to best lead our congregation as the number of COVID cases continues to rise in southwest Michigan and around the country. In keeping with the new directives from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and in light of the growing number of COVID-19 cases in our community, the leadership at Lakeshore has decided to keep all of our services online-only through the end of the year. Services will be streamed live at 9:00 and 10:30 on both Facebook and YouTube (links can be found at lakeshorechristian.org/live).
We firmly believe, as Jesus teaches, that the first and greatest commandment is that we love God and that we demonstrate that love by loving those around us. We are convinced that the best way for us to do those things at this moment is to move our meetings back online in order to reduce the strain on our local medical facilities and to mitigate risks during the holiday season. We ask you to join us in prayer for our community (especially those working in health care), for our congregation (especially those currently impacted by the virus), and for our leadership (as we continue to seek God’s direction for Lakeshore).
As always, if you have any concerns for questions, don’t hesitate to contact one of the elders or ministry staff.
In His Service,
Elders and Ministry Staff
